§ Body

Why am I tired all the time?

Constant tiredness usually has ordinary causes: too little sleep, a late screen, alcohol, no training, too much sugar, or stress that never switches off. Sleep is the foundation. Most adults need about seven to nine hours, and hormones such as testosterone are produced largely during sleep, so a short night affects more than your mood.

Start with the basics for two weeks: a fixed wake time, morning daylight, training three times a week, no caffeine after lunch and no phone in bed. If you are still exhausted, or you have low desire, erection problems, snoring or low mood, see a doctor and ask for a check-up. Don't self-treat with pills or boosters.

Three things to do this week

  1. 1Set one wake time for every day this week, weekends included.
  2. 2Get ten minutes of daylight within an hour of waking.
  3. 3Keep the phone out of the bedroom and see how you feel after seven nights.

This is rarely one problem.

It usually connects to sleep, friends, purpose or money. Take the short Compass: three statements on this area, one on each of the others, and an honest map of where you stand across all eight parts of life.
